Not Ready for the Water? Try the Sailing Simulator and take a free sailing lesson provided by an ASA certified instructor.
Get a feel for the water without leaving the show. Certified ASA instructors will be on hand to offer a free sailing lesson and the chance to experience how a small boat reacts to the wind and waves right on the show floor.
The simulator is one of only two in the entire US. Designed and built by a nuclear physicist, the Sailing Simulator is the only teaching device of its kind in the US. The simulator recreates the actual movement of a boat under sail and mimicks the waves with wind in the sail. It’s a unique training platform for sailors of all abilities—whether you’re a new boater who wants to learn how to sail or an experienced sailor who wants to practice under different sailing conditions. Stop by and see for yourself how it really feels to sail—without leaving dry land!
Instruction provided by ASA certified instructors. Training boat, a Catalina Expo 12.5, provided by Catalina Yachts.
NEW! Kids' Club and Activities for the Kids
Parents—Give your kids a break! Kids' Club is a hands-on activity center designed just for junior sailors where children can jump and bounce and slide away... Then have a seat and draw “sailboats of the future,” and build wooden sailboats to sail in the pond or take home as a keepsake of the show.
NEW! Yacht Club Members—Be Our Guest!
We're pleased to offer reciprocal Yacht Club benefits to all yacht club members.
To take advantage of this offer, simply show your valid yacht club membership card and day of entry wristband (received with your paid admission) at the Strictly Sail Yacht Club entrance for free access and use of the Strictly Sail Yacht Club.
